Tashell Jenkins
Legal advisor and community leader serving on TJB's National Board and as Co-Chair of the Philadelphia Organizing Committee.
Tashell Jenkins is an experienced legal advisor and community leader with more than a decade of experience in education law, employment and labor relations, and civil rights compliance. Her work is grounded in integrity, strategic judgment, and a strong commitment to equity and public service.
In January 2025, Tashell was appointed to the National Board of Directors of Team Jamaica Bickle, Inc. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Team Jamaica Bickle Philadelphia Organizing Committee, where she leads strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution for a critical regional initiative. Previously, she served two years as Secretary of the Committee, contributing to governance development, organizational continuity, and effective communication.
Tashell has a longstanding record of community service, particularly in youth and educational leadership. She has served on multiple boards focused on mentorship, student success, and family engagement, including six years on her church's Youth Board and ongoing service on her local school district's Home and School Association, where she currently serves as a vice-president. She also served three years as regional vice-president of a local union representing federal employees and continues to support the organization as an advisor.
Professionally, Tashell is a trusted compliance and legal leader who has guided institutions through complex regulatory matters. Her experience includes leading investigations and negotiating resolutions under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. Her expertise spans Title IX program implementation, special education and disability compliance, employment law, workplace equity, collective bargaining, and internal investigations. She currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance at a university.
Tashell is a trained mediator who brings a collaborative and interest-based approach to conflict resolution. Her ability to balance legal rigor with fairness has made her a valued advisor to senior leadership, boards, and general counsel. Tashell is committed to expanding Team Jamaica Bickle's reach, strengthening its governance, enhancing athlete support, and strengthening partnerships that elevate the Caribbean presence on the global stage.
