Biography
Lancelot L. Clarke
Chief Financial Officer and founding volunteer bringing decades of accounting, taxation, and community-service leadership to Team Jamaica Bickle.
Lancelot (Lance) was born in Kingston, St. Andrew, Jamaica, resided in Constant Spring, and was schooled in Hope at Providence Junior School and later Jamaica College. Hence, he has held the lifetime theme of 'A Constant Spring of Hope'!
Professionally, Lance is a graduate of CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College, earning a B.B.A. majoring in Accountancy with a Statistics minor. He completed the C.P.A. requirements and has held senior accounting positions in the oil, reinsurance, and international insurance industries. He now provides accounting and taxation services as President of Clarke Assoc. International Inc.
Service with gladness was fostered early and facilitated through his mother, a psychiatric matron who was also involved with Girls Town Jamaica, and his father, a religious minister and building contractor. Moral oaths were adhered to as a Cub Scout. Association with various leaders and leadership training had the highlight of being in the cadet honor guard that welcomed H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I on his courtesy visit to Jamaica College on April 22, 1966.
Lance has rendered volunteer service to various organizations, including JCOBA-NY, Caribbean Immigrant Youth Service Inc. (predecessor to Team Jamaica Bickle Inc.), Lions United Sports Club Inc., Hal Jackson Talented Teens Inc. New York and International, Africa Dreamer Tours/WBLS Jazz Experience in Accra, Ghana, and Team Jamaica Bickle Inc. from its inception.
